SANGEAN, the world of listening
Why radio?
The good old radio. Despite all other information channels, radio is an important part of our lives. Radio is present in our homes, it accompanies us on our journeys, in the apartment or in the garden, in the office or in the car. Small pocket-sized radios are ideal for walks or sports. Music, cultural events, politics, radio still and increasingly makes the whole world available to us.
The history of SANGEAN
The world of Listening, this is roughly how the idea of founding the company SANGEAN (pronounced phonetically as sanjin) could be summarized. This philosophy gave birth to the company SANGEAN +50 years ago, which was established in 1974 to manufacture and develop radios. Thanks to the high quality of its products, their reputation quickly crossed the borders. It has become well known that quality control extends to even the smallest details and thanks to this, SANGEAN radios have become well-known for their sophisticated workmanship, excellent sound, selectivity and reception sensitivity.
Taiwan-based SANGEAN has since then and continues to be one of the most dedicated manufacturers of radios in the world. It has been continuously and exclusively producing radios for more than 50 years.
Sangean's past and present
It has also become a supplier to the world's largest electronics companies and brands. Well-known brands and companies have chosen SANGEAN as their supplier or radio manufacturer, such as SIEMENS, who manufactured the world's radios for 10-20 years, but we could continue without claiming to be complete, JVC, RADIO SHACK, GRUNDIG, BRAUN, PANASONIC, ROBERTS, MAKITA and many others, which SANGEAN is extremely proud of it. Around 20 years ago, due to changes in the radio market, SANGEAN decided to release radio-receivers under its own brand name. Nowadays, the parent company has subsidiaries in Europe, America and Asia. Sales are now carried out through a distribution network.
